The second thing every successful blogger should think of is where your blog post is published! You articles maybe published on a subdomain like: "www.blog.host.com" and some on a top level domain: "www.blog.com". If you create a blog in a free platform, probably, they must set up a subdomain for you.
Eg: my blog is hosted on Google blog platform Blogger. During my registration process, i was asked to input my desired blog url of which i used crucialplus. Blogger set my blog url on a subdomain .blogspot.com (www.crucialplus.blogspot.com) now, i have to change where my blog is published on. I changed it to a top level domain: www.crucialplus.info.
Where do i have to change my blog url?
We're in a very bad World. Everybody are now out to make money. Some even mislead people to make money from them. I changed my blog url not because of popularity but to make it easy for people to acess and also to make it difficult for fraudlent bihavious.
Somebody might get up to his feet today and go wide to diceive people that's it crucialplus admin. A scammer can get to his feet today, get himself a nice website and change it's url to become like me. Such people claim to be me but in real sense, not me.
The first thing a blogger should think of is the reason why he/she created the blog.
Now, the second thing is where the blog will be published!! I'm talking about the url. It's highly recommended for bloggers to purchase a top level domain like .com, .net, .info, .org for their blog on the first day of their registration.
Let's talk about Linda Ikeji. The Queen of bloggers in Nigeria. Linda created her blog very early. She's rich enough to get herself a top level domain. Linda dosen't took this step serous. Now, many bloggers used her name for their blog. Some of Linda Ikeji blog readers even thought Linda is behind everything..
Unlike www.lindaikeji.mobi this guy claim to be Linda Ikeji, each time Linda publishes any article on her blog, he'll be the first person to copy it to lindaikeji.mobi and many people think Linda is behind all this. As for now, i wonder how Linda would change from a subdomain to a top level domain. www.lindaikeji.com has been registered. www.lindaikeji.org has been registered. www.lindaikeji.net has been registered. www.lindaikeji.info has been registered. www.lindaikeji.mobi has been registered.
Maybe she's now thinking to move to a top level domain. How now would she be able to change to a .com domain since it has been claimed by another person. Or is she going to use a long address for her blog? Like www.lindaikejinigeria.com or lindaikejonline.com.. She made a great mistake. You still have the time to change yours before another person will claim your company's name.
